The Grecian Keys
Since 1961, “Tykie and the Grecian Keys” have entertained audiences worldwide with their great variety of dance tunes that have proven themselves favorites. Inheriting this wonderful reputation from his father Tykie, Georgio continues in his father’s footsteps by completely satisfying dance loving people everywhere. The making of a great band is the result of great individual players and singers coming together, for an unforgettable, FUN time! The sum of “The Keys’” musical abilities far exceeds the total of each individual's talent! The Grecian Keys are made up of four extremely talented individuals, each bringing unique musical strengths with their love of Greek music. They magically and spontaneously generate the most awesome dance music.
Once you hear them live, you will most definitely want to get up and DANCE! Life on this earth is short. That is why “The Keys” have created their latest CD, with many of the all-time favorite, timeless, classic songs, and called it “Stin Ygia Mas - To Our Health”.
Meet the Band ….
Georgio Theofilos’ strong lead professional voice is something very special and has excited audiences throughout America Bahamas Canada and Puerto Rico. He is more than capable of singing beautiful love songs, Nisiotika, Laika, Varia, Dimotika and more. Singing since eleven years old he has matured into one of the very best Greek singers in the USA. Besides his wonderful voice, Georgio plays fantastic clarino, and guitars. He will make you want to sing and dance your cares away.
Ted Samaras immigrating from Thessaloniki Greece in 1972, studied his craft form a child, learning the art of singing and playing from his father. Theodoros is a truly wonderful multi talented singer and bouzouki player that has added a wonderful fourth dimension to the Laika, Dimotika, and Xorefitika . His huge knowledge of modern favorite standards and even some well received original songs he has written, are a great addition to THE FABULOUS GRECIAN KEYS MUSIC. Theodoros has nearly every special request at his finger tips. You will love him and his soulful talent.
Steve Aivazis originally from the island of Rhodes, Greece, brings The Grecian Keys' rhythm section alive! His super smooth driving beats will make you dance all night. Steve's singing voice on lead vocals as well as sweet harmonies is the icing on the Keys' overall fantastic sound.
Zack Chiarnellos is a truly accomplished musician in all genres of piano and keyboards. Classically trained and perfected, Zack has worked with Symphonies, Big bands National acts, Las Vegas and is a welcomed addition to The Grecian Keys. His talent is unequaled in the Greek music world bringing an expanded exciting repertoire to The Keys. Zack truly is the "Fabulous' in The Fabulous Grecian Keys.
Dance Troupes
Troupe Hellas
Troupe Hellas, founded under the direction of Eleni Apostolakos Hopes, has been preserving and teaching Greek tradition to the youth and adults of Atlanta and the Southeast since 1980. In 1995, Troupe Hellas became the first group in the United States to become a chapter of the Lykion Ton Ellinidon, or Lyceum of Hellenic Women. Lykion Ton Ellinidon was established in 1911 to revive and preserve Greek customs and traditions within the framework of daily life. Originating in Athens, Greece, today there are over 60 chapters around the world.
Troupe Hellas, the adult dancing group of Lykion Ton Ellinidon, has provided entertainment and education for guests of Augusta’s Greek Festival for over a decade and Atlanta’s Greek Festival for as long as one can remember. Their show is not only about the dances of Greece but is also a spiritual and mythical journey through Greek heritage and tradition for the viewer. Their repertoire consists of over 200 traditional dances from all over Greece, Cyprus and Asia Minor, as well as Greek contemporary dances. They have performed throughout the nation at conventions, festivals and fundraisers. Troupe Hellas had the esteemed honor of performing in the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the 1996 Summer Olympics in Altanta. Troupe Hellas brings the Greek heritage and tradition to life with grace, elegance and professionalism!

The Greek Orthodox Youth of America, or GOYA, is the ministry to teenagers of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. GOYA is a ministry to junior high and high school grade Orthodox Christian teenagers. The mission and goal of GOYA ministry is to lead our young people into experiencing the Holy Orthodox Christian Faith, Tradition and Life.
